Hi Girls,
Life is short! Haven’t we all heard
that comment before. Have you ever said
“Where has the time gone?” or
“This year has just flown by, Faster than
last year” or “It only seems like
yesterday that my kids were starting
school”
Last week Craig and I were babysitting our 3
grandsons-5,2 and 1 years old. At bathtime we had
3 little boys splashing , giggling and soaking
everything in sight. We were transported back 20
years to when we were raising our 4 young sons.
Boy! It only seems like yesterday and yet all 4
are married and beginning their own dynasties.
Where has the time gone?
Ps
90:12
Teach us to number our days so we will have a
heart of wisdom.
Too often we forget that our lives here on
earth are finite, limited. If we live without
realizing our time is short we may not make the
most of opportunities and challenges that greet us
every day. We subconsciously think –
There’s always tomorrow!
I was recently challenged on this point when
I was shown a diagram that represented my life and
the influence I potentially can have and
time.
At any given point in my life you and I have
people we do life with regularly- friends, family,
work mates, doctors , teachers ,shop assistants,
pastors , leaders , students. But this group
doesn’t stay constant. In fact it is
constantly changing. Some leave , others come into
the circle. I may move house, or job, sickness or
a death brings change, moving schools or beginning
more training and a new group of souls are now in
the circle or into my world that I now have the
opportunity to impact for the Gospel.
Don’t be lulled into thinking
there’s plenty of time. Things change and
change more quickly than we realize and an
opportunity could be lost to tell them about the
love of their saviour. You just don’t
know.
We impact those lives around us positively or
negatively whether we think we do or not. Number
your days and make the most of the days
you’re living today. You may be the only
salt and light in those people’s lives right
now. Be intentional and live every day with
purpose. Time flies!
Love and Blessings
